Background

Back in October 2022, while walking around a shopping mall after lunch, I noticed the Motorola Care 3-in-1 Non-Contact Baby Thermometer MBP66N was displayed outside a store. It was on sale selling at 39.90 SGD. Since I passed my Xiaomi Mijia iHealth Thermometer over to my in-laws as they needed to use it, I decided to walk into the store and purchase it.

The Stuff

The Motorola Care 3-in-1 Non-Contact Baby Thermometer MBP66N design is similar to many non-contact thermometers on the market. It is able to take readings in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. It uses 2 x AAA size batteries which are provided in the packaging.

Here are some features that were described on the packaging:

- Measures forehead, liquid and food temperatures

- Readings within 1 inch of forehead, liquid or food

- High temperature alert

- Accurate one second readings (± 0.4°F/± 0.2°C)

- Recommended for babies

- FDA medical certified for safety and accuracy

- Night time mode

- Large backlit LCD screen display

- Saves up to 30 temperature readings

- Automatically powers off

- Low battery alert

Here are some pictures that I have taken to show what the stuff looks like:

Usage and Experience

I have used the Motorola Care 3-in-1 Non-Contact Baby Thermometer MBP66N for a month since this post. What I like is that I can take temperatures other than just body temperature. I tried to randomly take room temperature by pressing on an open area. It shows a reading which I believe is accurate.

The night time mode is like a "silent mode" for the thermometer. There will not be a beep sound when a reading is taken.

Although it says baby thermometer, it can be used for adults too.
