Background

In July 2023, I remember that there was a pen that was erasable. As such, I decided to make a trip to Popular Bookstore when I have the time.

When I was at Popular Bookstore, I found the erasable pen that I was looking for: the Pilot Pen Frixion Clicker 07MM. I decided to purchase it together with its refillables.

The Stuff

The Pilot Pen Frixion Clicker 07MM is a 0.7mm pen that comes in various colors, which I bought in black and blue. Based on Pilot's website, it is able to erase and rewrite repeatedly with Frixion’s revolutionary thermo-sensitive gel ink that disappears with friction. It is also refillable with BLSFR7 (0.7mm), and available in 0.5mm and 1.0mm too!

On the pen itself, it contains two points to take note of:
  • Do not use on legal or official documents and examinations.
  • If pen is exposed to the temperature that reaches 60°C, the ink will be colorless when writing. To restore color, cool to at least -10°C in freezer.
Here are some pictures that I have taken to show what the stuff looks like:

Usage and Experience

I have been using the Pilot Pen Frixion Clicker 07MM for a few weeks since this post, mostly using it on Daiso Sudoku books that I have been purchasing recently. It's much better than using pencils on those books as it is much clearer when writing.

The ink flow is generally good, and when I make a mistake, I will use the rubber part which is on the top/back part of the pen to erase it. The erasing works but may leave an imprint of what was being written, depending on the pressure applied during writing.

Ink consumption I feel is quite high if used at a very frequent rate. I had already refilled it once which comes in handy.

For its price, I paid 2.50 SGD for the pen. A box of refills comes in 3 which I paid 4 SGD.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I feel that the Pilot Pen Frixion Clicker 07MM is a pen for the not-so-serious stuff. If you are interested in this stuff, you can head on to stationery stores like Popular Bookstore or Times, or you can click on the links below:
