Background

In March 2023, my trainer shoes which I have used for years started to wear and tear after using them on my spin bike. As I wasn't thinking about using cleats yet, I decided to look for a cheaper and decent shoe option since I am only going to use it for my spin bike at home.

The option that came into my mind quickly was Decathlon. I searched their website online for the cheapest option and found the Decathlon Newfeel Men's Walking Shoes PW 100 Grey. As it was only 19.90 SGD, I made a trip down to one of their store after work to find my size and purchase it.

Usage and Experience

I have been using the Decathlon Newfeel Men's Walking Shoes PW 100 Grey for about a week since this post. As mentioned, I use it when I am cycling on my spin bike. So far I feel comfortable when wearing it, and there is no pain in my feet whatsoever.

Since it was lightweight as described, and I was wearing a UK size 7 / EU size 41, I decided to take one side of the shoe and weigh it on my weighing scale. It weighs about 170g. Lightweight indeed!

As the edges of the spin bike pedal are teeth-like, it somehow got imprinted onto the sole of the shoe. I just hope the sole does not break easily because of this just after a few times.
