Background
Back in September 2021, I felt that my Crumpler The Considerable Embarrassment Messenger Bag laptop sleeve slot is cutting it too close to fit my Mi Notebook Pro. As such, I decided to look for a larger messenger bag.
After searching online, looking at various designs of messenger bags, I found the one that interests me and fits my requirement: the Chrome Industries Buran III Messenger Bag for 17 Inch Laptop. I took days to think about it, looking at the website time and again before finally deciding to purchase one.
The Stuff
The Chrome Industries Buran III Messenger Bag for 17 Inch Laptop comes in 2 colors: Black and Stone Grey (which looks more brown/khaki to me). I chose Stone Grey and from the Chrome Industries website it has some of the following features:
- Tough tech messenger with iconic seatbelt buckle
- Padded, quick access laptop sleeve fits a 17" Macbook Pro
- Reversible shoulder strap for right or left carry
- Quick-release buckle with bottle opener
- Weatherproof tarp liner with durable nylon shell

Usage and Experience
I have been using the Chrome Industries Buran III Messenger Bag for 17 Inch Laptop for a few months. I like that the main compartment is big so that I can put more stuff in this bag.
I was able to fit my Mi Notebook Pro onto the laptop sleeve compartment with no issue.
The side pockets are useful as I can put stuff that needs quick access.
The array of compartments in the front allows me to compartmentalize my stuff so that it feels neat and tidy.
As this is a messenger bag, the design is such that it does not look right if I try to sling it like a shoulder bag :)

Final Thoughts
Overall, I feel that the Chrome Industries Buran III Messenger Bag for 17 Inch Laptop is one hell of a messenger bag. For people who need a big messenger bag with a laptop sleeve, this is worth considering.
