Background

Back in February 2021, as I wasn't exercising a lot like before, I decided to think of ways that I can burn more calories at home while sitting. As such, cycling came to my mind but I was looking for something that I can cycle while using a laptop. I search online and found the mini pedal exerciser bike. Since I manage to find one that cost SGD40, I decided to purchase it and give it a try.

The Stuff

The Mini Pedal Exerciser Bike that I bought only came in one color: black. It does not have a brand name on it. It requires assembly as the legs and pedals are separated. Fret not as the tools are included in the packaging.

It also comes with a resistance knob and a digital display counter, which requires 1 AAA size battery to operate. It displays the time, distance, count, total count, and calories.

Here are some pictures that I have taken to show how the stuff looks like:

Usage and Experience

I have used the Mini Pedal Exerciser Bike for about a week or so. It can't really beat an active workout but at least it burns some calories if I'm staying at home all day long. I use it as much as I can when I'm watching TV or using my phone on a sofa, or sitting on a chair using my laptop.

As this is a Mini Pedal Exerciser Bike, I can put it on the table and use my hands instead of my legs to pedal. That's exercise too!

Usage is simple. Start pedaling and the digital display counter will start displaying. Adjust the resistance knob clockwise to it harder. It seems like the knob has no end when turning but there is when I can't really turn it anymore.

As for the digital display counter, to toggle between the different counters, simply press the one and only red button. The "Scan" word will flash on top of the display, meaning it will automatically jump to the next counter after a few seconds. To stop it from jumping, press the button to the desired counter until the "scan" word is gone. To reset all the counters, except the Total Count which can only be done by removing the battery, simply press and hold the button.

Overall, I feel that the Mini Pedal Exerciser Bike is something worth considering to get started in being a little active while in a sedentary position for a long time. If you are interested in finding out more or considering getting this stuff, you can click on the links below:
