Background

Back in 2016, when Waterway Point Shopping Mall in Punggol, Singapore just open its doors, I paid a visit to see how this new mall looks like. I happened to go into Times bookstore and notice the Avex 40 Oz / 1200ml Water Bottle. The large capacity, solid stainless steel design, and able to keep water cold for long hours interest me, hence I decided to purchase it.

The Product

The Avex 40 Oz 1200ml Water Bottle Review is a stainless steel water bottle as mentioned. The rugged design makes it feel very solid for outdoor use. It has a rubber bottom for grip. It also has a special screw-on lid whereby there is a button to release the water, with a lock feature to prevent accidental pressing of the button which can cause water to leak out of the bottle.

Here are some photos that I've taken to show how it looks like:

Usage and Experience

I have been using the Avex 40 Oz 1200ml Water Bottle to date. Its large capacity is useful when I'm out exercising for long hours, which requires me to frequently hydrate myself. When the lid is screwed tightly and the button is locked, the water does not leak. Unfortunately, I had dropped the bottle a few times, with once dropping it without the lid. Hence there's a dent on the screw-on part of the bottle.

One feature of the bottle is that it is able to keep water cold for very long hours. Unfortunately, it didn't feel very long as the ice melted very fast and didn't retain its coldness. It also started sweating after filling it up with ice and water.

To drink from the bottle, simply push the locking mechanism to unlock position, open the cap on the lid, and tilt the bottle to your mouth. Press the button on the lid to release the water.

Conclusion

Overall, the Avex 40 Oz 1200ml Water Bottle is useful when you are looking for a rugged large capacity water bottle to bring outdoors, but it can't retain its coldness after a few hours.
