Airdrop Tech Universal Travel Adapter Review

Background

Back in June 2019, I was looking for another travel adapter after having an issue with the Mogics Universal Adapter MA1. Even though the MA1 was successfully repaired, I feel that I need to have another travel adapter. This is in case I have an issue with the MA1 adapter again or with the Mogics Power Bagel itself, especially when I'm traveling. As such, I went online to search for a suitable one and found the Airdrop Tech Universal Travel Adapter on Qoo10. The adapter's feature looks good and I eventually purchased one.

The Product

The Airdrop Tech Universal Travel Adapter comes with a pouch to protect the adapter. This is the typical kind of travel adapter design as compared to the Mogics Power Bagel. It feels well build. This travel adapter comes with the standard universal pins that you can switch to, a spare fuse in case the current one blows, plus 4 USB ports and a USB Type-C port.

Here are some pictures that I've taken on the product:

Usage and Experience

I brought the Airdrop Tech Universal Travel Adapter together with the Mogics Power Bagel during my trip to Taiwan in November 2019. It compliments each other quite well. If I need a power extension, the Mogics Power Bagel comes into play. If I needed more USB ports, the Airdrop Tech Universal Travel Adapter comes to the rescue. The 4 USB ports certainly come in handy as most of our products now charge via USB, especially phones and power banks.

For the USB Type-C port, I was able to charge my phone using my Type-C cable. The 3A output makes charging faster compared to the 4 USB ports.

To use the travel adapter, simply switch to the pin that is needed and plug it into the wall power socket. Switch the wall power socket on, and you will see a light on the travel adapter USB ports area. This means you are good to go.
