Background

In November 2023, I decided it was time to look for a new wallet to replace my Comme des Garcons sa3100 Half Zip Wallet, which I have been using for 4 years.

After looking around online, I realized that I still like half-zip wallets for their compact and minimalist design. As such, I decided to get the same wallet, but a different color. Eventually, I got the Comme des Garcons sa3100 Half Zip Wallet Bottle Green.

The Stuff

The Comme des Garcons sa3100 Half Zip Wallet Bottle Green is the same as my existing one. It comes with a compartment/pocket in the middle, effectively making it 3 compartments. The difference is in the color and a change in the zip imprint of YKK to CDG.

Here are some pictures that I have taken to show what the stuff looks like:

Usage and Experience

I had the Comme des Garcons sa3100 Half Zip Wallet Bottle Green for a few weeks now since this post, but yet to use it. I intend to switch it come 1 Jan 2024 [New Year new stuff :)].

Based on the usage of my existing Comme des Garcons sa3100 Half Zip Wallet, I like that it is compact and minimalist as mentioned. The 3 compartments are good enough for me to sort out the main items that are in the wallet: Notes, coins, and cards.

This wallet solves one of the issues that I'm always concerned about storing coins. Cash is still used in many places, so having a coin compartment for change is good.

Some drawbacks will be the notes have to be folded as it is not a bifold wallet. Cards have to be stacked together, hence when I need to use a card inside the wallet, I will have to flip through to find it. These are not a concern for me as I'm used to it and don't find it an issue :)
