Herschel Walt RFID Full-Zipped Wallet

Background

Back in September 2017, I was looking for a full-zipped wallet to replace my existing wallet. I feel that I needed such a wallet because cards and cash may drop if I use a bi-fold wallet, especially after years of use and wear and tear. I also do keep coins in my wallet so a zipped wallet with a coin compartment will be the best for me.

I searched online and managed to find the wallet that fits my requirements: the Herschel Walt RFID Full-Zipped Wallet. As such, I bought it along with the Herschel Little America Backpack Standard at ASOS.

The Stuff

The Herschel Walt RFID Full-Zipped Wallet comes in different colors and designs. There are certain designs that come with RFID blocking. The one that I have is an all-black color with RFID blocking. It comes with a cash compartment, a couple of card compartments, and a buttoned coin compartment.

Here are some pictures of the stuff that I have taken to show how it looks like:

Usage and Experience

I have used the Herschel Walt RFID Full-Zipped Wallet for about 2 years before changing it to my current wallet, which is the Comme des Garcons sa3100 Half-Zip Wallet. I like to use this wallet as it has a fair amount of card compartments, and the button compartment has 2 compartments in which I can put coins in one compartment and small stuff in another.

One possible downside of this wallet I can think of is its size. Being a full-zipped wallet, it is considered bulky when putting it into the side pocket of my pants or jeans. This is a point to consider when planning to get a full-zipped wallet.

As for the RFID blocking feature, I believe it does its job as I did not encounter any accidental tapping of any of my contactless cards in this wallet.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I feel that the Herschel Walt RFID Full-Zipped Wallet is a useful secure wallet. As of the time of writing, there are not many places online that sell this wallet. Hopefully, Herschel will bring back this series if there is demand for it.
