Background

Back in December 2017, I was looking at Xiaomi products to buy for Christmas. I came across the Xiaomi Wowstick 1FS cordless electric screwdriver which searching online. The design of the screwdriver got me interested and as such, I decided to get one from Qoo10.

The Stuff

The Xiaomi Wowstick 1FS comes with a magnetic case that houses the cordless screwdriver and 18 pieces of magnetic bits. It is aluminium build and the design is in the shape of a pen. The screwdriver is battery operated which requires 2 AAA size batteries. Here are some pictures of the screwdriver that I have taken:

Usage

I have been using the Xiaomi Wowstick 1FS for several occasions, mainly to open up my laptop. To unscrew, you will need to press the top part of the button. Vice versa, to screw, you will need to press the bottom part of the button. Whenever the button is pressed, the LED light will light up.

The magnetic bits provided with the screwdriver are small in size. As such, this is usable mainly on things like spectacles, watches, laptops, and other small items that use small screws. You will not be able to use it to screw or unscrew on things that use big size screws, as there is not enough power or strength to do that.

Conclusion

Overall, I can say that the Xiaomi Wowstick 1FS is a useful tool to have if you need to have a screwdriver to screw or unscrew an array of small household and electrical items.

As 1FS is an older version, Xiaomi has come out with a few more versions of the Wowstick, namely the 1P+ and 1F+. The 1P+ still uses 2 AAA size batteries, while the 1F+ uses an in-build lithium-ion battery which can be charged via USB.
