Background

Back in the days when I was still working as an IT Engineer, I needed a screwdriver so that I can screw and unscrew equipment, such as servers and network switches to mount or remove them from the rack. One place that I can look for such stuff is Daiso, where everything is in 2 SGD.

I went to one of the Daiso stores and looked at the tools section. And there I found a few types of screwdrivers available. One type of screwdriver that interest me was the Daiso T-Shaped Ratchet Screwdriver.

Since it is small, handy, and it is only 2 SGD,  I decided to get it.

The Stuff

The Daiso T-Shaped Ratchet Screwdriver comes in black color and includes 3 slotted and 3 Philips screw heads in different sizes.

The screws can be stored inside the handle of the screwdriver and it has a switch that switches the ratchet clockwise and anticlockwise direction.

Here are some pictures that I have taken to show how the stuff looks like:

Usage and Experience

I have been using the Daiso T-Shaped Ratchet Screwdriver for years. It is good to have a ratchet screwdriver as I do not need to keep adjusting my grip when inserting and removing screws.

It is also good that the screw bits are able to be stored inside the screwdriver. I do not have to have separate storage for it and in addition less prone to lose the screw bits.

There are also some drawbacks to this ratchet screwdriver. As the length is short, I am unable to use this if the screws of the stuff are too deep inside.

Also, the ratchet may not work with small screws as there is not enough torque to ratchet. In the end, I have to fully turn the ratchet screwdriver which is kinda awkward due to the T-shaped.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I feel that the Daiso T-Shaped Ratchet Screwdriver is good stuff to have in one's toolbox. I am not too sure if they are still available in Daiso as I have bought this stuff many years back.
